Scientific Working Groups
For more than 20 years, the FBI Laboratory and several other federal agencies have supported the efforts of various scientific and technical working groups (SWGs & TWGs) for the advancement of forensic standards and techniques. SWGs/TWGs consist of representatives from the fields of forensic, industrial, commercial, academic, and in some cases international communities. These multi-disciplinary working groups assist in developing standards and guidelines and improve communications throughout their respective disciplines
